Canvas tent lodge overlooking the Lesoma Valley, on the edge of Chobe National Park. Waterhole frequented by wildlife and daily safaris.

Elephant Valley Lodge occupies a commanding position above the Lesoma Valley, on the edge of the Chobe Reserve in northern Botswana. Twenty canvas tents, a waterhole visited by wild animals throughout the day, and direct access to one of southern Africa's densest wildlife territories: the lodge caters to travelers who want to experience safari as a seamless rhythm between game drives and rest.

Why choose Elephant Valley Lodge

  • A rare vantage point: a natural overlook dominating the Lesoma Valley, a migration corridor for elephants and numerous herbivores.
  • A landscaped waterhole in front of the lodge, where wildlife comes to drink throughout the day and can be observed from the tents or shared terrace.
  • A convenient gateway to Chobe National Park, renowned for one of Africa's largest elephant populations.
  • Logistics tailored to combined Botswana–Victoria Falls circuits, at the Zambian and Zimbabwean border.

Atmosphere and spirit

The lodge embraces an authentic bush aesthetic: canvas tents, wooden structures, manicured lawns and preserved vegetation around the facilities. Wildlife roams freely nearby, setting a calm and attentive pace. The waterhole, visible from several areas of the lodge, becomes the focal point of the day: you linger between game drives, binoculars at hand, watching elephants, antelopes and birds take their turns.

Evenings unfold in the shared spaces and around the pool, away from engine noise. At night, the bush reclaims its domain, with the distinctive sounds of the valley.

Accommodation consists of 20 tents arranged in two configurations:

  • 8 valley-view tents oriented toward the valley, overlooking the waterhole — ideal for travelers who want to keep an eye on wildlife from their veranda.
  • 12 tents situated around the lawns and pool, nestled in denser vegetation, offering more shade and cool air.
